Are there any over the counter remedies for depression and anxiety that actually work? I’m really scared now

I suffer daily from clinical depression and anxiety. I am presently not working (since may ‘06), and staying with my boyfriend I have been with for over a year. My heavy depression is weighing him down. I can tell that he now resents me for not having a job yet here in Georgia (been here over 3 months without employment.) I truly want a job but am too physically ill most of the time to go through with the job hunt….panic attacks, dizziness, mind goes blank when someone asks me a question, so nauseated that I have to bring a bag with me wherever I go incase I need to throw up, negative thoughts and images race through my mind constantly now. I don’t know how to make myself well enough to at least appear to be competent enough to actually be hired. I visited the local mental health department and they cannot see me until October (unless I threaten suicide, which I will not). Please, can anyone tell me what over the counter meds or herbs might help me until my doctor visit?

When I say losing it I mean I cry alot and Im always pissed at everyone I am generally a very kind hearted person

I have depression and really bad anxiety. I also have panic attacks. I have been prescribed medicine for it and the anxiety is still really bad some days. If there is any over the counter medicines I can take as well please let me know.

I am a 53 year old male,I am suffering from mild depression, I am having trouble getting out of 1st gear and finishing a large home improvement project,I feel a bit overwhelmed. Is there anything in the way of an over the counter medicine ( herbal perhaps ) that will help elevate my mood?

I’ve been pretty depressed and feel anxiety pretty heavily for the last year- it doesn’t effect my work load or my personal life, but it is always constant. So I think something light, and not something that puts me “out” from a doctor would be good. Anything you can order online or at a local store have any real effect? I tried something once that melts in your mouth, but it never really worked.

one of my friends is a doctor and she told me i need to seriously get some medicine
and oneof my friends takes prozac i think thats what it is called and she says it helped stop her depression
i have had problems with depression since i was 12 (i was a messed up and depressed child) and it comes and goes its either im depressed and suicidal or indifferent about life
now im in the lowest point of my life and i keep having suicidal thoughts and i want to die i do but at the same time i dont wanna commit suicide and go to hell but i keep thinking of it
my friends recomment i take medicine but can i get it over the counter?
i cant go to a professional doctor tho
