well you can try saint johns wort.
There are herbs and other natural ingredients that can act as an antidepressant. But pills aren’t what will make you feel better. There is no magical pill that will make you happy. Look up a clinic in your area and try to find a therapist who can work with you for little to no pay. You’ll have to do research, but its worth it. Therapy helps more because you deal with what is really happening to you. Don’t be afraid to tell your parents or find help. Please do it and improve your life!
No not really, if you aare that depressed you nned to see doctor, who will refer you to the correct treatmnet
i disagree with a previous response that i just read. pills can make you feel better and therapy isn’t always the answer. i would start by seeing a psychiatrist (M.D.) to explore your problems and the possible treatments.
if you don’t have insurance this could be pretty expensive, probably more than one hundred fifty dollars for a visit, and clearly any prescription would cost more. however, walmart and several other pharmacies offer generic prescriptions for four dollars, which is very reasonable. i believe this includes many anti-depressants if that ends up being the best option for you.
st. johns wort is also a common herb (over the counter) that is used, if you do not want to, or cannot afford to visit a doctor. i believe it is sometimes used as a first line agent for depression by medical professionals in europe.
lastly, there are payment programs/free clinics for people without insurance in many areas. i would look into those options in your area if you would like to see a doctor but cannot afford it. you can try web searches or contact your health department for guidance.
