No you can not. You need to seek professional help. Life is to long to go thru it depressed all the time. Lots of luck
All antidepressants are by prescription only. You need to see a psychiatrist and have them figure out the best antidepressant to take. This isn’t something you want to fool with, you need to have professional help, not try and get stuff over the counter.
There is nothing over the counter that will actually help you out with depression. You have no choice but to see a doctor and get serious help. If you let this go it will get much worst as time goes on. Then you’ll really have major problems.
You need professional help, this is not a joke by no means.
no you need to get professional help. you can try vit B. but things like st johns wart ect….. has a lot of stipulations on what else you can take
Why would you want to? Depression medications cover a wide range of problems and you will only benefit from the correct medication for your type depression. Otherwise you could just be creating more problems for yourself. Self diagnosis is not the answer go to somebody who is a professional and do not go with any advice from a friend who surfs the internet for magic cures.
No, there are herbal remedies like St John’s Wort that you can get in health shops that are alleged to have an impact on depression.
Prescribed medicines like Prozac are only available on prescription because the patient not only needs to be monitored but the dosage needs to be monitored, prescribed drugs can also have side effects that need to be managed. There is also the point that Prozac may not have any effect on you, there are many drugs for depression available on prescription that may suit you better but only a medical profession who can assess & monitor your condition will be able determine what may suit you.
Please do not seek out alternative options for obtaining prescription drugs - prescription drugs can be extremely dangerous in the wrong hands, going for something that appears to have worked for everyone else is extremely foolhardy.
PLEASE, please seek professional help, no one can help you but yourself, please do not ’sit on your hands’ and torture yourself and those around you any longer.
No you cant but anti-depressents over the counter.
Any anti-depressent medication needs to be prescribed by a Doctor. There are so many different anti-depressents, that your doctor needs to prescribe you a suitable one.
If you are suffering from depression, then would strongly advice you to see a Doctor and if you hare having sudicical thought i would advise that you see one ASAP. You may need some sort of psychological couselling.

here really is no need for you to comntinue feeling like this and there is help out there for you! Please go and see you G.P
No, you cannot buy Prozac over the counter, it needs to be prescribed by a doctor. Prozac is one of a range of anti-depressants, it is probably the most commonly drug used for depression, but other drugs are available and might be more suitable. Prozac can have side effects and doesn’t work for everyone.
St John’s Wort is a herbal drug that research shows can have a good positive effect on depression, this can be bought in health food shops, etc. Some brands are better than others though, and again, side effects are possible. This herbal drug is prescribed in some countries for depression.
It sounds as if you need to address the causes of your depression and work through some issues since childhood - therapy and counselling might be really helpful, especially Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). You would have to go to your GP or mental health services to see if you can be offered CBT. I have known people that say that their lives have been changed in a very positive way by enabling them to look at their problems in a different way by the uses of CBT.
Medication is not always the answer, it can change things short term, but you sound as if you had ‘issues’ for a very long time.
Meanwhile, research suggests that being physically active CAN really help with depression. I know it’s hard, but try and make each day as good as possible, be active, don’t isolate yourself and keep telling yourself that you deserve to be happy and that you are a good person. Keep a diary - write down your thoughts, both positive and negative, have plans, treat yourself!
Depression nearly always improves - you have to work on it.
Hope this helps and hope you feel better soon.
You can get St John’s Wort over the counter at any health store like GNC.
I’ve used it before and it helped me.
I’m afraid not, friend, you need to see a Doctor.
