How to counter depression?

well what ever you do don’t hurt yourself, everyone goes through rough times it’s how you handle it that makes the difference.
I would seek the help of a counselor. Things get a lot better when you are an adult and move out to have your own place trust me. At least give yourself a chance on that one.
first of all dont cut yourself. Start thinking more positively. just start to point out the good things that happen during the day and you will be cheered up.
When you try to be as miserable as possible, there’s less suffering.
Alternatively…. When you don’t mind being miserable, there’s less suffering.
go to a doc
first see your medical practitioner as a matter of urgency.
i once had bad depression and it is something i never want to experience again and i seek medical advice immediately i think it may be starting to get a hold. i don’t rush off immediately but give it a bit of time and if it is not lifting i hot foot it to the doc.
it would seem you have done that so now get the shoes on and off you go. you have taken the first step by posting this now take the next one and nip it in the bud.
you have beaten it once and you CAN do it again.

i was like this.
1) are you eating right i find the chubbier i am the more depresed i get. the more i excerised and ate healthy the brighter the world became. not just because i was getting skinner but because i had mor energy and my pertutitary gland was being nice to me for once.
2) do you have a good support network?
- i have friends i turn to and a cousin who i just have to say the word and im instantly supported and loved.
3) see a counsellor or someone your trust talk about our problems they are better out then in. this will prevent you self harming.
4) i technique i have used and recommend to those i counsel is play dough. Anytime your angry or depressed grab a handful and peg it against a wall. better then self harm
5) avoid all medication if possible - once you start you wont be able to stop.

What was the depresian about? a girlfriend?loosing somone in the family?Grades?
1)Talking might not be that helpful when it comes to depression.Dont spend hundreds of dollars on therapies instead use your precious time thinking something to do.Buy a dog for example.
2)Whatecer you do just dont spend time doing nothing.It leads you towards negative perceptions about yourself.
Take a trip outside to see scenery or go to a place where there is silence.
3)Fear and anxiety can be the major causes of deep depression.
Even I was in a state of depression but then i started making friends and sharred my ideas.This helped me to popularize myself.
4)See anything can be helpful if taken in a positive way.
Letting go of your past is one of the most important things to do right now.
5)You will have to be stronger and face it.Go walk in a park, say hello to friends.Think good things about yourself.
6)Avoid medication since it hardly works and can even have side-effects.
7)Eat citrous fruits and tweing gum to relieve stress.Do meditation for a few minutes by shunning your thoughts.
