Fadeawaynot asked: can someone consider killing themselves and not be depressed - I’m worried about my friend :/
Does this mean they have depression?

Viktor-Ron Paul 2008!! asked: Not me, but some of my friends get upset and depressed (not depression) about life and their day. And I’ve noticed this among several of my classes as well (I teach high school).
What are some simple techniques to go from depressed to refreshed in a short time?

JC asked:
I’m 13 (Nearly 14) and I really feel depressed. I feel guilty for something very wrong I’ve been doing, but since then I’ve stopped. I’ve told my mom that I feel I have nothing to look forward too. She’s taking me to talk to someone tommorow and to get some anti-depressents. I’m really sick of feeling this way and she doesn’t understand. I’m starting to think the easiest way out is running away or something, not nessecarily suicide. Anyways, is there any adice? I’m through with talking to counsellors, I’ve tried talking to my parents. Nothings clicking. Please DO NOT give me that cop out saying that I need professional help. What can I do indvidually to help this?
Guys, remember, the doctors aren’t just going to hand me the pills, I will be talked to for a bit, and it’s up to them to decide If I’m in that state of mind that requires them. Anyways, please, I cannot talk anymore, I’ve got to do this on my own. What can you do for that?
tangerine asked:
When you’re depressed, trying to do what you need to do can be like wading through molasses. Is there any way to make life easier when you have to deal with depression? By the way, I am on medication, but it doesn’t solve everything.
bibbo asked:
I am looking for a drug or medicine or whatever that can help diminish or kill feelings such as love, regret, sadness, hate, or etc. I know there are off the counter prescription drugs that can help diminish depression, but I am looking for something that can diminish emotions or feelings in general.
muh-muh-muh-muh asked:
normally, is depression a continuation of a certain bad event that happened in your life? does it continue especially if you over analyze or think things and you just kept it all to yourself? depression is normal to appear, right?
crankthatjesuschrist3 asked:
okkkk so i always have this feeling of detachment from the world.
nothing really matters to me at all EXCEPT for my boyfriend. i mean i just dont care about anything or anyone and its kind of a problem. the only time i am happy is when i am with my boyfriend. its almost like im not even alive anymore. nothing amuses me and i have frequent crying spells for no apparent reason. its quite odd. and i am to the point where i think i could use an anti-depressant medicine but if there is one you can take the you dont have to get a prescription for i think it would do fine for me.
p.s. let me know if you think it is another problem other than slight depression
thanks alot :]
The helpless romantic asked:
I can’t afford medical care, so I’ve been stuck with this depression for 19 months now. It’s getting really obnoxious, and it’s not fun. Are their any like, over the counter medications, or herbs or anything that can help? If you could leave religion out of this, that would be great. ^^
And also, I’m also very prone for stroke, and my heart is not the strongest, so please keep that in mind. I want to cure my depression, not die.
